Unity School Partnership (USP)
This is one of our biggest education clients. We were worried at the beginning of March when schools were closed across the UK that we would be redundant! However, after some discussion we decided to offer virtual support to both staff and parents across the (31) schools in the trust – during the last school ‘term’ we had over 150 contacts, supported staff and parents from every school. There was understandable anxiety for everyone because of the uncertainty about schools re-opening; we delivered a series of webinars to support staff returning to school. We also worked closely with the Trust when one of the Head Teachers sadly died unexpectedly (not from COVID), offering guidance to senior leaders about the best way forward and support on the ground to the whole school community.
"Sue and Annie are amazing, would definitely recommend them to a friend or colleague. I would not be where I am now without the support that they provided. Thank you so much!"
"My main contact was with Sue whom I found to be very compassionate, kind and supportive. She was very thorough and managed to get me to open up about things that I thought I was over a long ago! Sue made me feel that I mattered and always made me feel important. She always made me feel safe and confident enough to talk about my concerns. Thank you, Sue, you are an amazing lady."
"Sue and Annie - what a year! I can’t thank you enough for the support you have provided for Unity Schools Partnership, our staff and students. We have received nothing but positive feedback on the impact you have had on the health and wellbeing of our school communities."
“During the past 12 months, we have experienced many challenges and you have both been amazing throughout. On a personal note, I really enjoy working with you both and look forward to what the next 12 months will bring.”
Debbie Wilson, Operations Manager
"We have had fantastic feedback from those who have used the service, with Sue making a massive difference in a lot of people's lives too! We look forward to continuing to work with OM in the future and the great services they offer”.
Rebecca Price, Head of HR
Utility Warehouse
We were asked by a corporate company to provide a service, which we call ‘Time to Talk’ for their staff. Any member of staff can contact us about anything that is troubling them, and we provide a confidential safe space for them to speak about it. During the lockdown, the service was offered by phone or zoom/skype but will be face to face when people return to the office. We have supported people with a variety of different issues including low mood, anxiety, relationship issues, bereavement, and family problems. The feedback we have received has been amazing and we feel like we're really making a difference.
"Sue left me in such a positive state, I’m really happy and so grateful for her getting me back on track and my mindset is so much healthier! Just slightly upset I didn’t know about her ages ago, she’s brilliant!"
"Sue is an amazing human! She helped me with everything and reassured me that my thoughts were normal and that there is help that I can get. I’m now seeing a therapist for my condition and couldn’t be more grateful for making this step, it wouldn’t have been possible without Sue!"
“We have been working with OM for over six months now, with them providing a mental health ’drop-in’ service for our employees. This has been invaluable for many people, particularly given how the global pandemic has affected everyone individually, and it has allowed them to get advice, support or just someone to talk to about anything that is concerning them."
North East Essex Teaching Schools Alliance (NEETSA)
We were approached by NEETSA to put together a virtual training course for their school staff right at the beginning of the pandemic. They wanted something that would help teachers to support pupils returning to school; we agreed that in the first instance we had to address how the teachers were feeling about returning to school!
We offered 2 sessions every day over the course of a week (via Zoom), some in the evening, to talk about how to deal with their own feelings and then suggest strategies that would work in the classroom to support learners. In total, the training reached nearly 200 school staff and the response was overwhelmingly positive; we have chosen just 2 examples of the feedback that we received:
"I found the whole presentation engaging, interesting and thought-provoking. The strategies you outlined are all very useful in the normal course of life but will be doubly so when we finally return to the classroom. Thanks for a groovy couple of hours."
"‘I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Annie for delivering this session. It was so useful and I am now going to be telling all of my friends about it all! I learned some tools I can use not only in school but also with my own children as well. I cannot praise you enough. THANK YOU!"
